The specialties at the Villa Petrus de Longemaison are more varied and exotic than in the other cottages or guest rooms around. Being of Romanian origin, Emma Petronela wants to share her culture through her cooking to share the gastronomy of her country of origin.
Her Franc-Comtoise and Romanian cooking can only be delicious as well as full of surprise, since she holds a professional cooking baccalaureate and has many years of experience as a chef behind her. She is committed to working with fresh, unprocessed and organic products.
Franche-Comté specialities
As for Franche-Comté specialities, you will be able to sample them at breakfast, such as fir jam, organic apple juice or fresh milk. And for the evening meals, you could be served coq au vin, fondues of different cheeses, croute with morels, gratin with Morteau sausage or even a gâteau de ménage (a type of cheese cake). Other specialties await you.
Romanian culinary specialties
What mixes with this traditional French cooking are the Romanian culinary specialties. From main course to dessert, the dishes are varied: bors (vegetable broth, with or without meat), sarmale cu mamaliga si brinza de oi (cabbage or vines leaves stuffed with polenta with ewe cheese) and much more. Desserts are not to be outdone, you can taste placinta (rolled apples with or without white cheese), cornulete (small loukoum cake) or the excellent traditional Romanian cake present on all celebration table: the cozonac. In addition to discovering the traditions of a region, Emma Petronela takes you on a journey to another country thanks to her culinary skills.
Schedule and Conditions
The host table is only available on request and so to be specified when booking. Breakfast is 5€, and is served between 7:00 am and 9:30 am. As for the evening meal it is served around 8:00 pm (22€). The host will be grateful if you could stick to these schedules, which will allow her to best organize her working day.
Living rooms
When meals and breakfasts are requested, they will be served in a large, friendly and bright dining room, with a 30 people capacity, in a relaxed atmosphere. You will enjoy great meals or beautiful evenings in the company of friends or familly.
